John Boccieri is a commercial airline pilot and an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with the 910th Airlift Wing. He deployed in 4 rotations to support our troops in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, and continues to serve as a C-130 pilot. Boccieri has served our nation in over 40 countries and has 24 years of service in the U.S. Military.
Born in Youngstown, John is the son of Rosemary and Nicholas Boccieri. John attended Ursuline High school and received A baseball and academic scholarships to play at St. Bonaventure University in New York. John graduated with honors and a degree in Economics in 1992. After college, he played a year of semi-pro baseball then went to work as a legislative aide for State Representative Richard Cordray. After his work at the Statehouse he joined the Air Force, becoming an officer, based in Little Rock, Arkansas. While on active duty, he received A master’s degrees in public Administration and Business. John also worked in the private sector for 2 fortune 500 companies.
In addition to wearing the uniform and serving our country, Lt. Col Boccieri served as a United States Congressman, Ohio State Senator and an Ohio State Representative. While authorizing and passing laws at both the federal and state levels, Rep. Boccieri is most proud of the Military Injury Relief Fund which provides financial help to Ohio's injured veterans returning home from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.
John is happily married to Stacey Kennedy Boccieri and blessed to have 5 beautiful children.
